It’s so important to start your day with the right energy! These 9 easy self care morning routine tips will help you do just that! No matter how busy you are, and even if you used to hate the morning like me (thank goodness for coffee!!)

As a master manifestor and creator of your own reality, you should aim at living a full and rich life. This includes enjoying every single day and actually living (instead of just existing).
I know this is much easier said than done with the way society operates, and we tend to go from one day to another in an almost robotic fashion. We forget all about ourselves, and the beautiful phenomenon of life just passes us by. We all know where this path eventually leads though, and it’s one you want to avoid.
It is only obvious that if you don’t care for yourself and enjoy your time on this planet, you will remain discontented no matter how much materialistic success you achieve. The life within you will continue to crave attention, love, and care, and the longer you ignore that, the messier your internal situation will be. Therefore, it is a wise idea to practice some self-care.
So, now the question arises. How do you instill self-care into your daily life? Well, to make sure you don’t miss it even for a single day, it is a good idea to create a self-care morning routine. How you start your day sets the one for everything that happens later on.
When you get into this habit of a daily, self care morning routine , you won’t go a day without nurturing yourself, and this will go a long way in ensuring a balanced, happy, and satisfying life. Below, we take a look at some of the best self-care practices for your self care morning routine.

1) Practice Mindfulness

As mentioned above, modern-day life can be stressful. Everything happens so quickly that we forget to enjoy the smaller moments. This happens especially with the simpler things in life. Well, to enjoy these little things, you need to incorporate mindfulness into your life. This is a spiritual practice where you divert all your focus to the present moment and the activity you’re doing.
We can take the example of mindful eating to understand this. When you’re having your breakfast in the morning, pay attention to how your food looks, how it smells, and how it feels in your mouth. Chew consciously and enjoy the taste of it. This deep involvement enhances even the smallest of activities and you feel much more peaceful and relaxed.
Mindfulness is a legit tactic that is used even by therapists. So make sure you include it into your self care morning routine.
For me, it’s that first cup of coffee in my self care morning routine. I use my favorite mug that makes me smile, and give myself enough time to drink it slowly, and really enjoy the smell and warmth of it. Before, I would wake up at the last minute and drink it in the car, sometimes spilling it on myself. Not quite the same experience!
Manifestation techniques like meditation, and visualization can really help with your mindfulness practice and help you to slow down the rest of the day. When you do those things it teaches you how to control your thoughts- and not just when meditating or visualizing, but the whole day.
2) Do A Mini-Meditation Practice
It is understandable if you can’t make time to meditate for an hour in your self care morning routine (even though it is the best time in the day to do so besides before you fall asleep at night). But you can definitely carve out at least 5 minutes to simply close your eyes and exist in the present moment. You might feel like this mini-meditation might not have that much of an impact. But when you do it regularly, you will realize just how powerful it can be to unplug for a few minutes daily.
Short meditation sessions can take your mind off of the things bothering you. They also allow you to monitor your thoughts and emotions in a non-judgmental manner. As such, your perception is greatly enhanced and you get a renewed sense of confidence and calm. When done in your self care morning routine it can set a positive tone for your entire day.

This quick, morning self-love ritual with rose quartz is also a great self care morning routine to try:
Self care morning routine self-love ritual: Start your morning off right with a self- love ritual using rose quartz. Hold the rose quartz in your dominant hand, and breathe a few times. Say out loud: “I choose to love myself.” Say this affirmation as many times as you need to really believe it.
3) Take Care of Your Skin
Due to the infinite stressors that we all deal with on a daily basis, our skin takes a major beating. After a consistent period of stress and anxiety, your skin starts looking dull and worn out. This can affect your confidence and the way others around you perceive you. This is why it’s really important that you take care of your skin every day.
Give yourself ample time in your self care morning routine to wash your face, exfoliate, moisturize, or do anything else to ensure better skin health. When you keep doing this, you are bound to receive great results. When your skin looks good, you automatically feel great. There is something about feeling beautiful that just fills you with happiness and joy.
4) Listen To Some Music

We all know the influence that music has on us. A sad song can make you cry and a happy song can make you dance.
When you are trying to practice self-care in the morning, it is obvious which type of song you should be listening to. Just plug in your headphones or blast the speaker on full volume and listen to something that sends waves of electricity throughout your body.
Doing so during your self care morning routine will make you feel awesome. You will notice a pep in your step and life will seem a lot smoother. It’s amazing just how much your state of mind affects the way you perceive everything around you. The great thing about this is, you can listen to music while doing your morning chores. So, you won’t have to take time out for it.
5) Eat Healthily

Most people tend to rush through their mornings to get to work on time. And most of the time, breakfast is one of the first things to get ignored as a result.
Over the long term, this can have devastating effects. You need to be more serious about your physical and mental health and this can be taken care of by eating healthily.
I struggled with losing weight for the longest time until I changed one simple thing during my self care morning routine-what I had for breakfast! Instead of sugary creamer in my coffee, I added just milk and stevia.
And instead of sugary cereal, I made a healthy smoothie.
Starting my day off right like this reduced my cravings the whole day, and I also made better choices. That simple change made me easily lose 1-2 lbs a week!
If you wake up just half an hour earlier than usual for your self care morning routine you can ensure a healthy breakfast for yourself. You can take conscious decisions about what to eat instead of just pouring anything into your bowl. Make sure you eat a balanced diet and get all the right nutrients. A proper breakfast can make you feel energized and ready for the entire day.
6) Practice Gratitude
Your state of mind in the morning will carry over to your whole day. So, it is a good idea to do things to put you in a positive state of mind. One of the best things to add to your self care morning routine this is by practicing gratitude. This simple exercise fills you with unending positive emotions. You look at life and everything about it with appreciation. This makes a big difference in how you conduct yourself throughout your day.
You can do this self care morning routine just before you leave for work for better results. All you gotta do is sit down with your journal and list out things that you are grateful to have in your life. Think about the previous day and anything you might have achieved. Make sure to include that in the list too.
Then, think forward about all the things you want to manifest. Make sure to feel gratitude for them too! This will set the law of attraction in motion and increase the likelihood of you manifesting those achievements.
If you don’t have time to write it down, you can also just say or think about waht you are grateful for too.
7) Dance Around For A Bit

When was the last time you let loose and danced like no one was watching? I am guessing it has been a pretty long time.
And I think I don’t need to tell you how awesome it feels.
So, why not make it a part of your self care morning routine? Just play your favorite music and dance around the house.
Like a little kid. In fact, this is a fun thing you can do to include your kids in your self care morning routine! Just 5 minutes of doing so will greatly improve your mood and you will feel like you can take on the entire world.
Not to mention, this will also provide you with some much-needed physical exercise. It will get your heart pumping and ensure better physical health. Suffice it to say, it’s a win-win habit!
8) Declutter Stuff
If you have ever cleaned your room or house and gotten rid of unwanted things, I am sure you must have felt really peaceful. There is something about decluttering that registers with us on a spiritual level. So, if you declutter your space, bed, cupboards, and if possible the entire house before you leave for work, you will enter a peaceful mode. This makes it a must-include practice in your morning routine.
Another benefit of this is that when you return from work in the evening, you will find a clean and organized space. This will make you feel much better. Imagine coming home only to find a mess. The mere sight of that can be demoralizing!
If you need help decluttering, Sarah Prout has a program called The Miracle of Decluttering.
9) Listen To A Podcast/ Read A Book
Many people find reading a book or listening to a podcast (here are some of the best law of attraction podcasts to get you started) highly stimulating in the morning when their brains are the most active. Not only is it great for self-learning, but it is also great for diverting your focus away from your usual thought process. These days, technology has made it really easy to listen to these podcasts and read books from anywhere at any time. You can do so while you’re preparing your breakfast, decluttering your space, or even while driving your car!
