What are Chakra Candles?

Chakra candles are a special tool you can use in your manifestation rituals. Each candle corresponds with and enhances the energetic chakra center you want to unblock and strengthen. You do this by matching up the candle with colors, fragrances, and sometimes crystals, that enhance that chakra. You can use them in your manifestation rituals, meditations, and visualizations.

The reason that chakra candles work so well for manifesting quickly is they tap into your chakra energy fields by using aromatherapy, color therapy and the power of fire energy. Regular candles just don’t, well, hold a candle to them!

What is the Meaning of Chakra?

chakra candles

First, before you use Chakra candles it helps to know what the word Chakra even means. The word originates from, “1888 in yoga sense “a spiritual center of power in the human body,” from Sanskrit cakra “circle, wheel,” from PIE root *kwel- (1) “revolve, move round.”

In everybody’s energy field there are 7 of these energy wheels.

These 7 chakras correspond with different behavioral, emotional and physical qualities. When they are running properly and not blocked, your energetic field flows freely-like a pinwheel in the wind!

This helps you be in alignment with your desires easier and faster- thus, you manifest better too!

There are definitely more essential oils and crystals you can use, but these are a good start.

What Do Chakra Candles Do?

Chakra candles don’t really do anything. Like any prop that you use in your manifestation rituals, meditations, and visualizations, it is the intention behind it that counts. What I mean by that is it isn’t magical. YOU are the magic. The props you use simply help your biggest manifesting tool- your brain- to get in the right abundance mindset.

By choosing the right chakra candle for what you want to manifest, you are given a powerful visual and aromatic reminder to help you focus. Our minds wander so easily and have so many distractions, that it’s so easy to lose focus.

Candle gazing has been used for centuries in meditation. By using a corresponding chakra candle you are making this ancient meditation even more powerful.

How to Meditate With Chakra Candles

It is so relaxing to gaze at a candle, and focus on the flickering flame.

Breathe in deeply, and inhale the scent of the candle.

Meditate and visualize on what you want to do.

Picture your chakra opening, and relax deeper.

State your intention, such as, “My throat chakra is opening as I gaze at this candle. I can feel my communication improving and people understanding me better.”

That’s it! There is no right or wrong way to do this, so get creative and make your chakra candle ritual uniquely your own. I’ve written another post with tips on how to make your manifestation rituals uniquely your own that can help with how to use your chakra candles.

Anything that helps you relax can be helpful. Think comfy clothes, a quiet location or even some meditation music.

It doesn’t matter when you use your chakra candles, but many people enjoy using them around the full moon or when you first wake up or right before bedtime.

Benefits of Chakra Candles

Using chakra candles in your manifestation rituals, meditations and visualizations have many benefits.

Just a few that you will notice:

  • Enhanced intuition
  • Relaxation
  • Increased energy
  • More joy, self-love and willpower
  • Clarity
  • Feeling more balanced
  • Shielding from negative energy
  • Improved overall well-being

Which Chakra Should You Start With

There is no right or wrong here, but I typically recommend starting with the one you feel most drawn to. Often times you will notice struggles in the area of the chakra you notice first.

You can also pick the chakra that corresponds with what you want to manifest or heal.

If you are still uncertain, start with the root chakra as it is the base of all chakras. If that one is out of alignment and closed, you will be unable to balance any other ones.

What are the Most Positive Chakra Candle?

If you are looking for the chakra candle to help make your mindset more positive, I suggest you start out with the solar plexus. Associated with the cheerful color yellow, the solar plexus helps to increase self-love, confidence, and joy. Self-love is key for manifesting. It’s the most important quality for manifesting abundance so you can’t go wrong with working on this chakra.

Is it Safe to Put Crystals in Chakra Candles?

If you have been looking into using chakra candles you have probably seen some with crystals in them. While it is safe to buy chakra candles with crystals in them, it can be a little tougher to make your own. You can put just about any crystal into your candle, but remember that you are pouring hot wax on it.

So soft and delicate stones like Selenite might not be a good choice, especially if you want to use the crystal after the candle has melted. Keep in mind the wax will get into any cracks in the crystal as well and won’t be easy to get out.

Personally, if I put a crystal in my chakra candle I consider the crystal gone forever and not useable after the candle melts.

I also like to make my own so I know the quality of the crystals in my candle are good. You have to wonder why some candles with crystals are so inexpensive. Chances are, they used low quality crystals because who is going to be able to really know the original quality after its’ covered in hot wax.

Here is how you can make your own chakra crystal candles:

There are a lot of great places to buy chakra candles if you don’t want to make your own. Personally, I like to stay away from Etsy as I have had a lot of issues with their platform before when I sold products. While I would love to support independent candle makers, I cannot stand Etsy.

Where to Buy Chakra Candles

So, I recommend something like Amazon where you can read your reviews and will know that you will get fast support if there is a problem.
