File size

The File size integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] is for displaying the size in MB of a file.

Important

File paths must also be added to allowlist_external_dirs in your configuration.yaml.

File paths should be absolute paths. For example: /config/home-assistant_v2.db to monitor the size of the default database.

Configuration

To add the File size integration to your Home Assistant instance, use this My button:

Manual configuration steps

If the above My button doesn’t work, you can also perform the following steps manually:

  • Browse to your Home Assistant instance.

  • Go to Settings > Devices & Services.

  • In the bottom right corner, select the Add Integration button.

  • From the list, select File size.

  • Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.
